Put simply, La Maison Hugo & Victor is one of the greatest patisseries in Paris. Located between 6th and 7th arrondissements, embracing Saint-Germain-des-Prés, in the heart of one of the oldest and aristocratic districts of the capital, this place hits the sweet spot with gusto.

After studies in the South of France, chef of the Maison Hugo & Victor, Hugues Pouget, started out in the most prestigious Parisian luxury hotels such as Carlton and Le Bristol, as well as at the famous Ladurée house. Then, at 25, the young pastry chef meets Guy Savoy.

It’s a match made in heaven. The three-star chef names Hugues executive chef, entrusting him with the management of the group's five restaurants in Paris.

The rest is recent history. After travelling and working in Las Vegas, Asia and in Latin America, this talented maestro has discovered plenty of new and surprising flavors, and he knows how to work ‘em.

To boot, Hugues is particularly creative and always eager for news encounters, so he also appreciates artistic collaborations, and regularly lends his art to developing unique and tailor-made creations for singular personalities as Catherine Deneuve, Matthieu Ricard or Thierry Courtin — to help them celebrate their festive moments with top style & taste.

Oh — and he’s a purist. You won’t find any dyes or artificial flavours uses in his delicacies — and he only uses seasonal products. In his book (and we’re paraphrasing from French): “It is possible to acquire many fruits outside their original maturity period, but these fruits do not enjoy the taste and nutritional qualities of those grown and harvested in accordance with natural conditions.” So there. The master has spoken. D’accord!
