Nestled amongst the leafy, cobblestone streets of Montmartre – quartier of painters, poets and musicians; blessed with beautiful views and love stories - you will find the smallest hotel in Paris. It’s painfully pretty and packs a punch though.

This boutique property, ensconced within this mysterious part of the capital, is a true gem which used to  belong to Hermès family; and is another cool (and opulent) haven where you can hide from the crazy Parisian summer if it gets too much.

Set within a 19th century townhouse amongst 900m² of verdant, landscaped greenery, the Hotel Particulier Montmartre boasts the largest hotel gardens in the city, making it the perfect mix of heroism, history and classic French romance — and a fresh renovation and brand/logo redesign has recently given it new life, and a funky spring in its step, so it’s also ‘millennial friendly’.

Here, you can pop in for a breezy, beloved brunch in its refined restaurant — Le Grand Salon — or stay longer, for a magical weekend away, in one of its five beautiful, adorned and elegantly-designed suites.

If you’re more of a night-owl, then check out the establishment’s dim-lit speakeasy — Le Très Particulier - a sultry and interesting enclave where you can sip cocktails away from prying eyes and hidden away within greenery of the hotel. It’s super private — after all, this place used to be a high-end bordello back in the days...

Perfect for: Sunday brunch! Brunch menu consisting of a variety of appetizers and tapas, a dish of your choice and desserts served accompanied by a drink, smoothie, pastries and fresh bread. Brunch on Saturday and Sunday, in two services, at 12h and 14h30 — and it’s best to reserve before.

Others prefer to settle in the gardens of the Hotel Particulier Montmartre at tea time to enjoy a chocolate tart, lemon meringue pie, cabbage cream with seasonal fruit... this place has something for everyone. Teatime Wednesday to Friday, from 14h to 18h, and the weekend from 16h to 18h. Gourmet coffee or tea for 15 euros. Without reservation.

What to order
If you’re staying over: The perfect choice is definitely a ‘Gourmet Stay’, which includes a one-night stay for two, two glasses of champagne, dinner for two and twin breakfasts.

For lunch: Royale foie gras for starters, Low temperature yellow place, as a main course and Coffee espuma (chocolate mousse) for dessert.

Dinner guests: Start with Sea Bream marinated with kalamansi, then move on to Cod grilled “à la plancha”, and Lychee whipped cream, with a glass of champagne for dessert. Magnifique!
