A perfect mix of American and Parisian pastry, this place is constantly adapting flavours to the seasons, so there’s always something new to try. To boot, Boneshaker also supports local communities by using ingredients from neighbourhood businesses and hosting community events.

This sweet spot is the brain-child of American native Amanda Bankert-Scott, a rebel at heart who —  “while the rest of her female classmates were training to be debutantes and housewives” was busy trying to avoid anything that would build her up to be suitable "wife material" in the eyes of the DC prep scene.

She spent eight years in Ireland, perfecting her trade by crafting sweets for Michelin-starred restaurants in addition to a few specialty coffee shops and eventually moved to Paris, graduating as pastry graduate from Le Cordon Bleu in 2004, before opening Boneshaker (named after the first pedal-powered bicycle) and changing French lives for the better.

Perfect for: A Saturday guilty pleasure stop, before going to Le Centre Pompidou.

What to order: Definitely their signature Beach Haven doughnut with a cup of coffee. If you will order them before noon it’s gonna cost just 5€.

Trading hours: Tues- Fri 8h30-18h // Sat 10h-18h
