Located on 32 rue du Mont Thabor, in the heart of Paris, Maisie Cafè is the brainchild of luxury executive Isabella Capece, who set up this juice bar and coffee shop after she was inspired by her own transition into healthy living. She took the plunge to introduce wholesome recipes, fresh organic juices and healthy snacks to the city’s food scene by delivering her juices to editors and retailers during the height of Paris Fashion Week back in 2016 - and the rest is history.
Her combination of vitamin-rich juice mixes paired with a menu which is vegan, gluten-free and organic, changes with the seasons, is inspired by her travels around the world - and is also available for takeaway - were an instant hit, and the spot has been a go-to for busy businesspeople, fashionistas, and anyone after a healthy break, ever since.
They key to this place is that all the dishes are prepared in-house and on the spot - including the rice or cashew nut milk and crackers, which are all homemade - and in the cold-pressed organic vegetable and fruit juices, and throughout Maisie's menu, you'll always find live, nutrient-rich ingredients to boost your immune system. Think: garlic, lemon, ginger, berries, kiwi, green tea, cabbage, broccoli, spinach; as well as superfoods such as spirulina, maca, hemp, chia seeds, known for their energizing and antioxidant properties - you name it, it’s in there.
To boot, if you’re staying in, this spot has all the stylish trimmings - with a dècor which combines sunny L.A vibes with a Paris touch (Capece lived in both cities) - a bright mix of mint-green stools and banquettes complemented by light-wood chairs and counters, and white walls painted with pastel-hued tropical folia, all of which add to the warm, convivial and airy atmosphere of the space.
In a nutshell - Maisie’s philosophy is to “combine the beautiful with the good, and wellbeing with pleasure, all in a speedy gourmet snack” - and that’s something we can definitely get on board with.
Bonus: Maisie also recently opened a new store in the Galeries Lafayette on the Champs-Élysées, so now you can have it all - luxury shopping and a healthy and delicious snack on-the-go while you’re on the hunt for a fabulous outfit. What’s not to like?
