Loulou

Lunch with a view at the Louvre? In Paris everything is possible. Boasting a unique and privileged location on one of the busiest streets in the capital — Rue de Rivoli — at the intersection where grand hotels, luxury boutiques and museums meet, this restaurant at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs is an urban sanctuary at the very heart of Parisian life.

Another creation of NOCTIS Group — known as one of the best restaurateurs in the city, also responsible for the legendary Monsieur Bleu, Gilles Malfosse, Bagatelle club, etc —  Loulou is the charge of young chef Benoit Dargère and Italian chef Diego Compagno (former head chef of the Alla Vigna restaurant in Padua, Italy) who together have concocted a sun-kissed menu of generous and familial cuisine hailing from the French and Italian Riviera.

Having combed through the various regions, the duo have select and use only the finest quality local products from southern France, Italy and Sicily, with the menu changing with the seasons in order to offer only the freshest fare and live in harmony with nature.

Also a feast for the eyes, Loulou’s décor is the handiwork of Joseph Dirand — who has transformed the light-filled space into a unique two-level eatery where a culture of beauty and aesthetics is mixed most naturally with a sense of authenticity and of hospitality.

The lower level — which has been divided into a series of salons — is inspired by the seventies, while the upper floor perfectly merges 18th century grandeur with a French art deco twist — and the terrasse is divine.

Think white marble, wall mirrors, burnt orange bench seating, circular alabaster tables with gold metal trim, intermixed with iconic furnishings including Eero Saarinen Tulip chairs in navy blue and Philippe Anthonoiz lighting.

As you would expect, clientele here is chic, fashionable and decidedly corporate — so it’s the place to spot VIPs having power lunches amidst an impressive city backdrop. People watching over a pricey lunch with one of the best views in the city? Worth every penny. Do it!

Perfect for: A sunny business lunch with one of the greatest vistas you could ask for.
