Hôtel Saint James Paris
Part luxury hotel, part private club and designed in the image of a grand family’s château, the Saint James Paris is an architectural jewel and a unique boutique establishment that embodies the term particulier in every way.
Located in the 16th district of Paris, on the Rive Droite — near the Arc de Triomphe and Trocadéro — this city-set gem offers a calm, classical hideaway in the heart of the action; ideal for enjoying a stroll along Avenue Victor Hugo, and a stone’s throw away from Palais des Congrès, the Musée d’Art Moderne and the Fondation Louis Vuitton and so, presents the perfect base for visiting the capital’s sights.
Built in the 19th century on the site of Paris’ first aerodrome, it boasts an impressive history as the neoclassical home of the Thiers Foundation for over a century, and today it is a sight for sore eyes, with its opulent décor and fantastical interior design by Bambi Sloan, which sees Napoleon-style meet 60s Pop and Louis XVI furniture merged with custom-crafted Fornasetti wallpapers.
Ever the exuberant masterpiece, the Saint James Paris offers those who stay there a bourgeois estate to relax in, a magical castle to discover, and an experience to treasure, where priceless expertise delights in every sense.
If you’re not staying in one of its 49 perfectly appointed rooms and suites, then you can still enjoy some of the creature comforts of the hotel in the form of The Library Bar — a stunning space where cocktails and conversations take place between walls lined with 12,000 leather bound books; or reserve a table at the Saint James restaurant, where Chef Adrien Brunet transmits his passion with sincerity through delicate compositions, subtle alliances of classics of French gastronomy and contemporary creations which have earned this dining spot a Michelin-star. The lush, eternally-green lawns and shady respite of the hotel’s immaculately manicured 300 m2 terrasse is also open to the public from Monday to Saturday from 7pm and Sunday for brunch from 12pm to 4pm, by reservation. During the day, access is private, and tastefully restricted to Saint James Club members and hotel residents.
Perfect for: An exquisite escape from it all, to a city-set fairytale with class, quality — and a little bit of mystery — all entwined into one pretty little package with whimsical charm.
