Vivian Maier (1926 - 2009) worked for about forty years as a nanny, in Chicago, pursuing photography only during her spare time. During her lifetime, she took more than 150,000 photographs, most of which were never printed… Until now. Her images went viral after they were published by a Chicago-based collector in 2009.
